A Matter Of Fax

aired...somewhere... May 31st, 1998

The episode meant to air directly after Eye Of The Beholder. Guest stars were: Ray Wise as McCaig, Andrew Bilgore as Alan, Romy Rosemont as Det. Fusco, April Telek, and.... Michael Watson as Steve Turner?? Waitaminute... isn't he dead?!....

It's some weeks after Steve's brutal death, and the team is still grieving. Nathan and Kate in particular are having eerie nightmares about him-- Kate finds his body under a lighthouse (itself an eerie precursor to the haunted lighthouse from her film The Ring). In addition, she's having visions of McCaig, Nathan's dead partner.

Meanwhile, Kate is finding herself drawn to the Institute's fax machine repairman, Alan. He has become the Institute's latest case, due to the fact that he's convinced he has murdered a stripper named Kimberly. Nathan warns Kate that she may be allowing herself to get unusually close to the client because she feels some subconscious guilt over not being able to save Steve.

At one point, Kate is attacked by Kimberly-- the stripper that Alan thought he murdered. Kimberly then tries to kill the repairman himself, but he is rescued by a newcomer, Raul. By exploring the Alan's dreams, Nathan eventually deducts that Kimberly and Raul are in fact split personalities of the repairman.

In 2002, several Sleepwalkers episode were released on Region 1 DVD in Germany. If you have a player that takes that region's DVDs, check out our links page for places to buy them.

All the Sleepwalkers images on this page were very graciously provided by Anthony Larme-- thanks much, guy! :) Please go visit Anthony's homepage; he has a beautiful tribute to Naomi Watts, who portrayed Kate on the series.
